There is an Italy made of stories told only in whispers.

There are facts never clarified, houses that have remained shuttered for years, and alleys that no one dares to cross after sunset. Versions of events that change depending on who is telling them.

In small towns, certain stories never die. They linger within the walls, in the silences, and in the names no one has the courage to speak.

This is how Don’t Talk About® was born.

I define it as a Cinematic Documentary Horror: an archive of short, disturbing stories and first-person interactive investigations where true crime blurs into the supernatural, weaving together folklore, superstition, testimonies, and truths that were never fully brought to light.

From the very beginning, I didn’t want to create a classic horror game. I wanted to build something with the soul of a "found document," an unsolved case, a legend that has survived the passage of time.

For me, this project has deeply personal roots.

I was born and raised in Puglia, in a small town of just over ten thousand souls. There, my family has always run the local funeral home. Growing up in close contact with certain places, rituals, and silences, surrounded by both true and passed-down stories, those atmospheres stopped being mere suggestions and became part of my perspective.

With a background like that, starting my career with a romantic comedy was always going to be a long shot.

At First Door Studios, we are transforming all of this into an interactive experience. We are using photogrammetry, performance capture, and Unreal Engine 5 to digitize real locations and build a more intimate, rooted horror, one made of presences, rituals, and questionable miracles. We want to bring the player inside every case, not just tell it to them.

Don’t Talk About® won’t be limited to a single location or story.

It is an archive of Italian cases: short, intense tales set in different regions, eras, and contexts, all connected by the invisible thread between reality and superstition.

The first episode will take us into the darkness of Puglia, 1997.

Follow the project.

And remember… some things are better when left unspoken. Because some things, we just Don’t Talk About.
